About Us
Allan is a regular key-note speaker at conferences and Universities across
North America. He has also spoken in Dubai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore,
Canberra and Soeul. He's also asked to comment on public policy on network
television in North America and Europe, including CBS, CTV, NBC, ABC, CNBC
Europe, PBS, NPR, CBC and Global.
Allan's most popular presentations feature short video clips from TV shows that
illustrate best practices in sometimes humorous ways. His crisis case
studies are an entertaining way to learn serious lessons. As the only North
American with post-graduate degrees in business and crisis management, Allan
extracts serious lessons from these cases--often one's he's personally
handled. A life-long communicator on radio, TV and speaking platforms,
Allan has had audiences of more than ten million on network television and
thousands in venues as large as hockey arenas and the Toronto Skydome.
We've started up two speakers' bureaus and trained the highest need diplomats, politicians, trade negotiators and business leaders in the world. We've helped Hong Kong government officials speak about the handover to China, oil executives to speak to environmental protesters and UN officials to argue the case for war. But we've also helped at service clubs and even wedding speeches!
We develop customized training and simulations to put risk reduction in place long before a crisis hits. We also respond the minute trouble strikes. Dr. Allan Bonner is the only North American with both 20 years of crisis response experience, and an MSc in Risk and Crisis Management.

It used to be called business resumption planning, but that implied your business stopped functioning. Business continuation implies you keep systems running and assets protected, despite the crisis or threat.
Better yet, our planning and simulaitons identify risks and reduce the danger.
Whatever you call it, the goal is to make people and assets safer and have a proven plan to react.
Mediation is assisted negotiation. Negotiation is getting the best deal you can. What about future relations? What about making the pie bigger so there are more available resources for both sides?
We get involved in unusual situations where no one can find the other party, or no negotiations are possible. Our assignment is often, "fix it-make it better" and we do.
Our Negotiation IQ, Psychological Deductible, Lemon Law and other accessible tools will make your preparation more complete and results more satisfying.
We believe in a balance between learning and having fun at annual general meetings, conferences and company retreats. We speak regularly at colleges, universities, chambers of commerce, board of trade and other prestige venues on five continents.
Short video clips, simulations and audience interaction spice up the serious messages we can deliver.
A successful event begins with your call to discuss needs and topics.
Testifying is a skill. We've rehearsed witnesses for cases in front of The Federal Court and tribunals in several jurisdictions. We've worked on four successful broadcast license applications, mine expansion in the Alberta oil sands, energy board matters, and environmental hearings.
Our research and testimony has been used by Royal Commissions, public and Judicial inquiries and legislative committees, including the Board of Internal Economy, the Legislation and Licensing Committee, Estimates Committees, the California State Educational Technology Committee and many more.
In addition to our group sessions, Allan has a growing practice helping individuals over tough organizatonal and personal challenges. Allan has been trained at the Harvard Leadership Education Programme, Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland and various group and individual coaching sessions in Toronto. His doctoral dissertation is entitled "The Wounded Leader".
Our volume of work - perhaps 30,000 clients over the years, and our range of practice - all sectors, all government entities on five continents make us unique. We polished our skills with some of the highest need clients in the world. We are known as the "trainers' trainer" or the "coaches' coach." Many of the world's largest full service agencies have had us train their clients or staff.
